Every morning at the corner of Ross Ruland Road and County Route 23B, motorists converge at the South Cairo Country Store to gas up, grab a coffee, a buttered hard roll, and whatever else helps them start their day.  Customers continuously flow through leading up to another rush as folks make their way home from work.  Cars pull in, and trucks pull out, and sometimes there are some close calls and sudden stops.  All that is about to change as this destination relocates down the street to its new facility.

After growing her own wedding flowers, Jessica Cahill discovered she had a passion for floral design. Over the next 5 years, she completely changed careers and opened her own business in Greene County.

With over 20 years of experience in the cycling industry, local siblings Lee Herchenroder and Mountain Laurel wanted to create an inclusive bicycle shop that welcomes cyclists of all ages, abilities and disciplines. In May 2023, the Catskill Bicycle Supply Co. was born.

After hearing raving reviews about some fried chicken at a gas station in Pittsfield, Jessie Murphy and her husband had to try it for themselves. Not long after, the couple decided to bring that tasty chicken to the Greenville community.

Founded by Guy Garraghan & Dennis Jackson in 1999, WRIP Radio has been the go-to source for local information and great entertainment. Beginning on the Mountaintop at 97.9 FM, they now reach listeners across Greene County at 97.5 FM in the valley towns, and 103.7 in the river towns. The long-trusted voices of Jay Fink (President & General Manager) and beloved Morning Guy Joe Loverro are like family to our local business owners and community organizations – promoting and live-broadcasting from events across the county, and keeping their listeners up-to-date on the latest happenings and local news.
